Background

In late 2012, our founder, Edward Hilsum was studying at university. Passionate about live variety, he decided to produce a show of the very highest quality. No filler... no bad acts... but unfortunately... no budget! Undaunted, he asked some of the UK's finest variety artists if they would appear in London's Newest Variety Night... and amazingly, because they loved variety as much as he did, they all said yes!

Early Shows

After the success of that first sell-out show, he went on to produce five more shows at different London venues. Every show was different, featuring an amazing array of incredible artists, and somehow he still found time to graduate!

All these shows made him love variety even more and determined to share the experience of great live variety entertainment with a wider audience. So, in January 2014, Love Variety was created with a clear vision to stage and promote outstanding modern variety shows.
